This was one of my favorite projects that I have made. I was tasked with remaking a package of my choice. I decided to remake some Goldfish packaging because I thought it’s readability and interest could be greatly increased.
My main idea for this packaging was to create a lot of Goldfish swimming around in the design to reflect the fact that the box has 30 individual Goldfish Packs. I used a deep blue color for the background to contrast the white text and Goldfish. Because the box was 31 inches by 17 inches, I was able to fit a lot of goldfish into the design.
I used Blender to make the Goldfish swarm at the bottom of the design. This was a challenge for me because rendering all the fish often crashed my computer. Once I made some adjustments to the render settings and to the Goldfish, I was able to render the scene consistently without crashing. For the larger Goldfish in the design, I took photos of them and then masked them. These Goldfish were used to emphasize the text of the design while showing more of the
cheese texture.
